MODULE 3 – GUESSING MACHINES

<< Back to Dashboard

WHAT IS YOUR 'GUESSING MACHINE'?

The human brain is a powerful machine. It’s a guessing machine! Harness it’s innate desire to guess as a way to grab and hold attention.

STEP #1: GIVE IT A NAME

A survey takes, while a checklist gives. How does that work? It all comes down to how you frame it. Answer that question: WIIFM?

RFA CHALLENGE: HEADLINE TEMPLATES

The first step to creating a CHECKLIST is to give it a title…

STEP#1: What is the FIST PUMPING MOMENT you deliver?
STEP#2: What is the big HEADACHE shared by your audience?
STEP#3: Populate the TEMPLATES with OUTCOMES and HEADACHES.

Then…

RFA CHALLENGE: POST YOUR BEST (OR WORST) ON FACEBOOK.

TEMPLATE #1….

Do you have what it takes to [INSERT OUTCOME]?
e.g. Do you have what it takes to run the Boston Marathon?

TEMPLATE #2…

Are you [OUTCOME] ready? Are you [OUTCOME] fit?
e.g. Are you Marathon ready? Are you Financially fit?

TEMPLATE #3…

Are you eligible for the [GRANT OR REBATE]?
e.g. Are you eligible for the first home owners grant?

TEMPLATE #4…

TOP 10 KILLERS: Do you know the TOP 10 factors that stop [TARGET] from getting [OUTCOME]? Take the test.

TEMPLATE #5…

How well do you know [PASSION/PROFESSION/EXPERTISE] e.g. How well do you know your Horse?

Don’t forget to post it in the Facebook group…

RFA CHALLENGE: POST YOUR BEST (OR WORST) ON FACEBOOK.

It doesn’t need to be good. In fact, it might even be terrible.

But from terrible headlines come nuggets of awesomeness!

STEPS #2 to #5: PAIN & GAIN

Checklists can be addictive, if you start them with a ‘no-brainer’. They can also be used to heighten a need and position you as an authority.

STEPS #6 to #10: GETTING 'SCIENCY'

It’s time to get a bit sciency! What will you need to do to pre-qualify and identify the hyper-responsive?
